Lots Going On Around Here!

We have had a busy few weeks around here! A busy FUN few weeks!

1. Marcus's Birthday on Feb.22

2. Micah turned 7 months on Feb. 28

3. California Vacation March 1-8

4. And we have 2 new additions to our family, Pixie and Rowdy!
(yep, 2 little puppies)

So I have pictures to go along with all of these adventures but I have lost my charger to the camera and so cannot get to the pictures quite yet. I will find it soon (hopefully)!

But here are some of the details.

Marcus turned 28! He said he had a great birthday but in reality we didn't do much and it could have been a little lame! Well I guess I take that back with 3 little ones to celebrate with nothing is lame! I took the kids to the store to get balloons, a few little things (he just wanted money), and stuff to make his favorite breakfast! That morning we decorated and made him breakfast! Everyone got candles on their french toast cause it is SO much fun to blow out candles according to Josie and Hayden (I think we lit them more than once). Marcus went to work and we made him his birthday cake. I just called recently to work with the scouts and they were having a dinner that night. I thought only I was supposed to go but they said we could all come so we all had dinner at the church with the scouts! I know poor Marcus but he said he actually enjoyed it and the kids LOVED it so I guess it was all worth it! We had dessert there at the church and then we came home and had cake! It really was a fun day and we are so blessed to have Marcus in our lives! He is an amazing husband and daddy!

And I will post the other stuff on a different post!

My Hayden "big boy"

Here is a post with pictures of my Hayden "big boy" as he likes to refer to himself! He is such a sweet tender hearted boy with lots of personality. He is seriously so funny! His facial expressions are always making us laugh! LOVE this boy!

Typical Hayden face

Lovin his brother

Here he is with his little cousin Sophie. He loves her! One night at their house he just sat by her and watched her and played with her almost the entire time. They are so cute together!

Trying to make him laugh but really I was just annoying him!
Look at that sweet smile!

Photo Shoot by Josie!

Josie LOVES taking pictures! I had to erase a few as she caught us unawares in a few of them:) She is always asking to take pictures and it can entertain her for quite awhile. And as you can see in some of them it entertains Hayden too. It makes me laugh to see how she does things and too that Hayden seems to cooperate with her. These weren't all the same day and I didn't put all of them.... there were WAY too many! But here are a few so you can see her talent! And any guesses to what her favorite toy might be?

Josie's Ready to Babysit!

Josie has always been grown up for her age but sometimes it surprises me just how grown up she is! Going by these pictures I think she just may be ready to be on her own with these boys!
What do you think?
This happens numerous times a day! No matter how many times I ask her not to carry Micah around she still does. Yes I have stopped saying it! If she picks up your baby then I am sorry! In her defense, she has never dropped him. And yes she did her make up herself.

I guess I took too long to get them lunch. I came in and they had filled a whole cookie sheet with chicken nuggets and had them in the oven. Glad I came when I did or they might have got the oven on. And judging by the amount of chicken nuggets, well I think they were REALLY hungry!
This was the 2nd time I came upon Josie finishing changing Hayden's POOPY diaper. She hadn't even made a mess AND he was actually letting her... both times it happened like this. I just might be the luckiest mommy in the world:)
And check out her outfit... can I just say STYLIN!

Sledding Fun!

This is Josie in the sled closet to the camera and deKyn, our little neighbor boy, hanging on behind. Josie loved that I got a picture of that.

Micah so content in his carseat. And then I took him down the hill.

Already for some fun!
We have actually gone sledding quite a few times this past winter and we have loved it! All of us, even Micah! The hill at my mom and dad's is the BEST sledding hill I have ever been to... Seriously it is a blast! I don't however have pictures of us there. These pictures are from a little hill by our house. Josie and Hayden have NO fear! They go by themselves, they go with us and they love it all. We have even crashed a few times and they still want more! I took Micah down a small little hill and he loved it too! After I took him once he screamed and threw such a fit every time I tried to put him back in his carseat. He knew he was missing out in there so I had to take him with me or just pull him around in a sled. I did stop taking him down the hill though when we crashed into another boy around 10 years old and made him cry... Micah didn't cry a bit. I would never forgive myself though if something happened to my sweet little baby so after that I only pulled him around in the sled.

Little Laughs!

I found this downright hilarious the first time Hayd did this... now, however, I am wondering how to stop it:)
Micah crying.
Me: Hayden why did you hit Micah?
Hayden: I not hit Micah mommy... my hand do it!
And the list can go on... his tongue spit at Josie, or his foot kicked her, or whatever. Anyway we have put tongues, feet, hands, and maybe some other body parts in time out. He willing takes them there until I tell them they can get out. SO...
I have tried spanking.
I have "spanked" hands, feet, and even tongues. He hasn't cried once and has even helped me spank them and get mad at them.
Usually when Hayden is in trouble and I get mad at HIM and send HIM to time out it is the saddest, meanest thing in the whole world but when it is just one of his body parts... no big deal! I don't know if this is good or bad.
Josie tried this once. I "spanked" or tongue for spitting. She has never blamed it on her tongue again! As for Hayden I am not sure what to do next!

Marcus was lifting Josie and Hayden above his head and wrestling with them.
Josie says: uh-oh daddy!
Marcus: what?
Josie pointing at his armpit: Your feathers are coming out!
She is so funny! ( I guess armpit hair looks like feathers:)

So one day I was getting mad at Marcus (yes I was, but trust me it has only happened once:)
Josie: Mom don't get mad at daddy... he is just a little boy!
Hmmm... I think I may have used this one on her with Hayden.
I am pretty sure though it made me stop getting mad at daddy (pretty sure anyway:)

Kids' First Trip to the Dentist

So this was back in December but I still wanted to post it! I took Josie and Hayden to a Pediatric Dentist and all in all it was a good experience. It was a first for them both! We talked a lot about it and read a couple of books before we went so they would know what to expect. For the most part they loved it. The both got a little nervous in the chair and especially when the dentist used his spin brush. However, they both ended up getting spin brushes and didn't stop using them for days:) They love their spin brushes so I think the next time we go they won't mind so much! Little Hayd has an extra tooth in the front that I have been worried about but the dentist said that is nothing to worry about and actually a good thing cause he will have plenty of room when his permanent teeth come in. And both of them had ZERO cavities. Yes I was a proud mommy!
Josie though was hoping for some "sprinkles" on her teeth AKA fillings. So glad we skipped the sprinkles!
