Here Come the Pictures!

Here are the pictures from New Mexico. I will do the others over the next few days cause there is too many!
Hole 'N Rock
Hayden and mommy at the petting zoo.
Josie and Daddy on the bull at Hole 'N Rock.
This place really has some cool things!
Hayden and Grammie at the top of the New Mexico Tram.
Hayden and mommy overlooking the tram lines and a big part of New Mexico.
This was really a cool thing too. I think it is the largest tram in the US.
Me and the kiddos and the Zoo in Albuquerque.
We just got done feeding the ducks!
Cute little Josie at the window of the gorillas.
Happy little Hayden.
We had a picnic on the grass.
Josie and her buddy/cousin Kailani. (I don't know if I spelled it right)
They had so much fun together and they look SO cute!
Diggin in the dirt at Grandpa's.
Josie, Kailani, Oleah, and Braxton.
They were playing for a good long time... dirt is so much fun!
Marcus and I on our "date".
We went to a Cirque show can't remember which one... but very, very good!
We went with everyone but we got to leave the kids with a babysitter! It feels so good to get out occasionally without them!
Hayden and Marcus making funny faces.
I love it! It looks like they both are trying too!

Marcus and the kiddos at the rest stop on the way home.
Josie looks like she is trying to get away.
I think these rocks are so beautiful!! They have some of the best rock formations on the drive to New Mexico!

June Happenings!

Where does the time go? I had such good intentions of keeping up on blogging and I have failed miserably. All I can say is that we have been busy having too much FUN! Also, I wanted to post pictures but I can't find the charger to my camera so until I find it this will have to do but I do have some great pictures I want to post. June has been our vacation month!

The first part of June we drove to New Mexico where we spent a week with Marcus's family. It was great cause everyone was there, well everyone except Laura and she was missed. I was dreading the drive down there with the two babies but they did so so good, especially Josie. We got to Moab and had not stopped once for a break so I told Marcus we needed to stop, he was too busy trying to find the "perfect spot" for the kids to get out and play that we ended up driving all through Moab without finding it. As soon as we were on the outskirts of town we started hearing from Hayden... he wanted out! I started to get a little irritated at Marcus too but then we saw a sign for Hole N the Rock 8 miles... so we continued on. It was so fun and perfect for the kids. There is a rest area right before it with plenty of grass and then there was a Petting Zoo. Both kids LOVED it! Josie got to feed the animals and it was the first time I really saw Hayden get excited for animals. Good Job Marcus! It will now be our little tradition to stop there. In New Mexico we had a marvelous time being with everyone! Marcus's brother, Daniel and his family were able to fly in from North Carolina which was nice cause it had been over a year since we had seen them. We had a week full of fun... we went to the Zoo one day, we had a slip n slide day, we rode the tram up the mountain, we had a Puerto Rican food night and we went to the Cirque. It was so wonderful! And we had such yummy food! Josie loved being with her cousins and chasing Granpa's dog, Lucy around. Hayden really liked Lucy too and Lucy was a very good sport about it. One night I went to put Josie to bed but High School Musical 2 was on in Grammie's room. She started watching it and was glued to it, she climbed into Grammie's bed and everytime I told her it was time for "night night" she would just scoot in further in the covers without taking her eyes away from the TV. I probably shouldn't have let her watch it and ignore her bedtime but she loved it and pretty soon there was everyone in watching it with her. She is a BIG fan of grandpa and grammie and most mornings would be at the door knocking waking them up. By the end she knew how to open their door (good thing I don't have those handles at home or it would be trouble). What a fun week! Hope we get to do it again soon!

We came home for about a week and a half and then we were ready to go on vacation again. This time with my family to the Pirate's Cove. The Pirate's Cove is in Boulder City, Nevada just outside of Las Vegas. It is a private place owned by Craig Tillotson, one of my dad's childhood friends. It is pretty much like a private resort with rooms, kitchens, pools, and slides and it is all pirate themed. He has been so nice to invite us down for the past couple of summers. We ended up renting a mini van and driving down with my sister Martha and her husband Justin. It worked out great and we came home wanting a mini van:). Almost all of my family was able to make it only my sister, Sarah and brother, Joel and their families weren't able to come. We missed you guys! Like usual we had a wonderful time playing in the sun all day! There is so much to do there! I had especially fun this time cause I could go down the big slide and jump off the rocks without any caution! (ok so I was still careful but the last two years I was pregnant so it was nice to feel "free".) Both kids enjoyed the water so much! Josie liked the slide but not when she was by herself. One time I sent her down by herself and I looked down and she had turned and was headed down head first on her back. Her little face was hilarious! She didn't like it much that way! Hayden liked the slide until we got to the bottom, he didn't like the splash I guess. Hayden did his first real crawling while down there. One night we went into Las Vegas cause honestly I had never been. We left the kids with Leah and Lauren and went with Martha and Justin. Let's just say it wasn't a very good experience for any of us. I'm glad we went so I could say I had been but the whole night we had bad experiences (maybe cause we weren't supposed to be in Sin City:). We did ride two of the rides on top of the Stratosphere. They were ok. I think they were a little too real to be fun though. I really thought I was going to die. I didn't think the height would matter but it did. I don't think I will be in a hurry to go back anytime soon! Overall though we had an absolute wonderful vacation though!

And then on the 29th I had my birthday. I am now 27. That really sounds so so old! I definetly don't feel that old. It was a pretty good day. I had so many people remember me and that always feels good! I went to lunch with Martha during the day and picked out fabric for some curtains I am going to make (and Marcus can't tell me no cause it is a birthday gift, he doesn't like the fabric I picked). We had planned on doing something more when Marcus got off work but some things came up so in the end Marcus took me to El Cafe Lago and then after we went to the park and played with the kids. All in all it was a wonderful day and I got some wonderful gifts. Thanks everyone!

Josie said "I love you"

Josie said "I love you" to me the other day, and has been saying it a lot ever since. I called home today and she even said it to me on the phone- It is awesome and sounds so sweet in her little voice. I love her!
