Josie said "I love you"

Josie said "I love you" to me the other day, and has been saying it a lot ever since. I called home today and she even said it to me on the phone- It is awesome and sounds so sweet in her little voice. I love her!

Look-Alikes: Josie and Aunt Laura

Josie is a good mixture of both me and Marcus but I would say she definitely looks more like a Hadlock then she does of my side. She does look like Marcus a lot but she also looks a lot like her Aunt Laura! I think this even more after seeing some baby pictures of Laura. Aunt Laura right now is on a mission to Bangkok, Thailand. She has been out for over a year now and actually comes home in just a few short months, in August. It has been so fun to read her emails each week and hear of her adventures and experiences. Laura is a very loving and sincere person. She always looks for the best in a person! I love her laugh... it is very contagious. I admire her so much and am so proud of how motivated she has been as a missionary. She is a hard worker and very artistic. I am proud that Josie looks like her Aunt Laura and am thankful she has such a good role model as an Aunt. Laura, we have missed you and are so excited to see you again! You are wonderful and we love you! I am excited for Josie to get to know Aunt Laura again!

Here are some pictures of Josie and Laura.

So cute! Laura is a little older than Josie in these pictures but you can definitely tell they are related. And yep that is cute little Marcus behind Laura. We Love You Sister Hadlock!

Imitating!

So these pictures were obviously all taken at different times but they make me laugh cause I see Josie copying exactly what we do... Josie is not usually a naughty girl but there are days I wonder how can someone so little get into so much mischief. Well usually it is just her copying what she sees. For example, she unloads the dirty dishes from the dishwasher, she tries to clean the toilets, she feeds Hayden whatever she is eating, she tries to run the electronics and loves typing on the computer, spills her drink on purpose only to run grab a towel to clean it up singing "clean up, clean up", and just lately she wants us to help her sit on the toilet and then she grabs some toilet paper and wipes. Hmmm....well I am learning to just let her help me, sometimes that is a good thing and sometimes it isn't. But here are some cute pics of her "imitating" us....Taking her baby on a walk in her stroller.

I don't know if you can tell but she has Marcus's socks on and obviously his hat and wearing it just like him. She just came over to me one day wearing his stuff. And this one she is of course using the computer and um yeah she has a bra around her neck. So I can't say she completely copied this one perfectly cause I don't know wear my bra quite like that... but close enough I guess! My favorite... changing Hayden's diaper.
I laid him down one day to change him when I realized I didn't have a diaper so I ran to grab one and came back and found this. Well he seems fine with it and I really could use some help in that area!

Cousin Time!

The end of March, we had Grandpa and Grammie Hadlock come stay with us with Matt and Zac, and also Beth and Travs with their kids, Hannah, Braxton, and Grayson! They were only here for a couple of days and almost every day was cold even though I kept promising them warm weather, it just wouldn't cooperate! Oh well, we still had a lot of fun with them and are so glad they came to visit us.
Braxton and Josie... little buddies!
Hayden and Grayson, I think Gray really likes Hayden.

Right after the Hadlock's and the Butler's left, my brother Joel and his wife Melissa came up from Texas with their kids. Josie had so much fun with Owen and Rachel and we got to meet baby Derek for the first time. He was born the week before Hayden.

The boys... Hayden, Derek, and Owen.
Rachel, Josie, and Owen.
You can tell by the pictures that Josie loves her cousins!
So since I am behind on my blogging then some of these are going to be out of order. But oh well I want to put them cause I have been hearing that you can actually print your blog out and put it in a book so I just might want to do that. Our biggest news, and my biggest excuse for not blogging is that we moved! Yes we bought another house out in Eagle Mountain. It all happened so quickly and I didn't say much about it because Marcus has put offers on lots of homes in the past and we haven't moved so I figured this one would be much the same. We moved out of our house the last weekend in February and I stayed with my parents for a couple of days with the kids while Marcus stayed with a friend until we were given the ok to move in. We have loved it here! We bought a home that was a foreclosure so I feel like we got a great deal on it and better yet it had never been lived in. It isn't real big but perfect for our needs right now. And the best part is that we bought it for less then our other house and with the good interest rates we are saving quite a bit on our mortgage payment! Our other house in Orem we are now renting out to college girls and learning what drama being a landlord can be. Hopefully it will be a good experience though! So Eagle Mountain is now home.... I love our home and I love our views, we have the mountains and we have the lake. I feel like this is where we are supposed to be for the time being!

Easter Morning

In the morning on Easter Sunday we got ready for church, and then took Josie to the kitchen where her little easter basket sat waiting for her to explore. She loved going through it and loved the sweets. Later on in the day the Easter Basket "Grass" was strewn all across the house, all over the Kitchen floor and on the carpet in the Family Room. She had a few pieces clinging to her through static electricity, it was pretty cute watching her try to pull them off and drop them to have them cling right to her again. She would get frustrated and flap her arms trying to get it off! I had no idea the amount that was put in that little bucket could scatter so far! Luckily it was not hard to clean up. One simple pass with the vacuum and broom. She sure is a funny little girl. Hayden is a good little boy too- He did not get a basket this year but he sure will next year!

We are back!

So I know it has been a couple of months since my last blog and I have plenty of excuses for it but I'm sure you don't want to hear all of them so for now just know we are back in the blogging business!!! We have a couple of things to catch up on so in the next few days I will be updating some of our happenings. To start with here is some pics from where we left off and some from now. I say this because as I was looking back through the pics I realized how much the kids have changed.
These two pictures are in Januaryright before we left Albuquerque.

And these two are from last weekend at Thanksgiving Point's animal farm.
The kids have changed in so many ways in just a few short months. It makes me kind of sad to realize how fast the time really goes by. Josie's little face is looking more grown up and less like a baby's and her hair has grown a lot. She also knows almost all the animal sounds and is saying so many words now. Hayden is getting to be such a big boy. He is curious about everything going on around him and he can sit up for a few seconds on his own now. They are starting to really play with each other and it is so fun to watch. I love these two little munchkins!
