So since I am behind on my blogging then some of these are going to be out of order. But oh well I want to put them cause I have been hearing that you can actually print your blog out and put it in a book so I just might want to do that. Our biggest news, and my biggest excuse for not blogging is that we moved! Yes we bought another house out in Eagle Mountain. It all happened so quickly and I didn't say much about it because Marcus has put offers on lots of homes in the past and we haven't moved so I figured this one would be much the same. We moved out of our house the last weekend in February and I stayed with my parents for a couple of days with the kids while Marcus stayed with a friend until we were given the ok to move in. We have loved it here! We bought a home that was a foreclosure so I feel like we got a great deal on it and better yet it had never been lived in. It isn't real big but perfect for our needs right now. And the best part is that we bought it for less then our other house and with the good interest rates we are saving quite a bit on our mortgage payment! Our other house in Orem we are now renting out to college girls and learning what drama being a landlord can be. Hopefully it will be a good experience though! So Eagle Mountain is now home.... I love our home and I love our views, we have the mountains and we have the lake. I feel like this is where we are supposed to be for the time being!
Easter Morning

In the morning on Easter Sunday we got ready for church, and then took Josie to the kitchen where her little easter basket sat waiting for her to explore. She loved going through it and loved the sweets. Later on in the day the Easter Basket "Grass" was strewn all across the house, all over the Kitchen floor and on the carpet in the Family Room. She had a few pieces clinging to her through static electricity, it was pretty cute watching her try to pull them off and drop them to have them cling right to her again. She would get frustrated and flap her arms trying to get it off! I had no idea the amount that was put in that little bucket could scatter so far! Luckily it was not hard to clean up. One simple pass with the vacuum and broom. She sure is a funny little girl. Hayden is a good little boy too- He did not get a basket this year but he sure will next year!

We are back!
So I know it has been a couple of months since my last blog and I have plenty of excuses for it but I'm sure you don't want to hear all of them so for now just know we are back in the blogging business!!! We have a couple of things to catch up on so in the next few days I will be updating some of our happenings. To start with here is some pics from where we left off and some from now. I say this because as I was looking back through the pics I realized how much the kids have changed.

These two pictures are in Januaryright before we left Albuquerque.

And these two are from last weekend at Thanksgiving Point's animal farm.
The kids have changed in so many ways in just a few short months. It makes me kind of sad to realize how fast the time really goes by. Josie's little face is looking more grown up and less like a baby's and her hair has grown a lot. She also knows almost all the animal sounds and is saying so many words now. Hayden is getting to be such a big boy. He is curious about everything going on around him and he can sit up for a few seconds on his own now. They are starting to really play with each other and it is so fun to watch. I love these two little munchkins!

Holidays in New Mexico
For the holidays we were able to fly to New Mexico and spend time with Marcus's family there. We did not have an enjoyable time getting there... our flight was delayed like crazy and with two babies it was not fun even though they did a great job. To make a long story short we were supposed to arrive on Friday Dec. 19th at 9:00 pm and we didn't make it until Saturday Dec. 20th at 4:30 am. The flight was only an hour and forty minutes. I really wanted to fly cause I figured it would be easier with two babies under two but I was wrong. The airlines did give us vouchers to fly again though so I guess in the end it wasn't so bad. Well after we made it we had a wonderful time. Josie loved getting to know her cousins, Hannah, Braxton, and Grayson, all over again. While we were down there we did lots and lots of shopping, saw a couple movies, went sledding in the mountains, ate lots of yummy, yummy food, enjoyed Christmas Eve and Christmas, enjoyed beautiful warm weather, went to see River of Lights, went to the Aquarium, went to the zoo, enjoyed New Year's, played games, went out shooting and got tickets for tresspassing, but most of all just enjoyed being with family. Thanks Hadlocks and Butlers for such a wonderful, memorable time! We will be back soon!

Our Past Year

This year has been a busy and exciting one! Our little Josie has grown up right before our eyes. She turned one in September and in October we welcomed Hayden Lee to our family. We are finding out just how busy two little ones can be...But with that we are also finding out just how much fun it is!!! Marcus is still working for Certiport and really enjoying it. He helps put together certification tests online. He works hard but they treat him really well. I finished school and graduated in May. I also took the National test for Massage and Bodywork and passed so I am all certified. I do a little on the side but pretty much I am busy being a mom. It is wonderful! We celebrated our 2nd anniversary just days before Hayden was born. We have made many great memories this year with family and friends. We are excited to see what memories and events this year will bring!
JOSIE has had a busy year. She went from learning to sit to crawling, to walking and then running! She is so so busy. She has gone from being a baby to a little girl in just months. She had her 1st birthday September 8th and is now almost 16 months. She adores her little brother, Hayden, and smothers him with her love! She is a daddy's girl and when he is home she wants him to carry her everywhere. Sometimes getting ready for work can be a bit difficult for him. She loves people and other kids although right now she is learning to share so sometimes it might appear that she doesn't like kids. She copies eveything we do so we better be careful! She loves her dog, Bug, and can feed him and give him water all on her own... sometimes she even shares his food and water with him:/ She is learning to talk and babbles a whole bunch. She can say... hello, hi hayden, mama, dada, bug, grandma, grandpa, thank you, banana, amen, baby, hot, and a couple other things. She just learned how to give high fives. She loves music and is a great dancer. She loves the outdoors whether it is hot or cold. She is so much fun and keeps us so entertained. She can be hard to keep up with... she is so busy but usually stops every so often to come give a hug!
HAYDEN is such a sweet and happy baby. He has learned to smile and it is so cute! He turned two months on Dec. 23. He is definetly a mama's boy and I am certainly not complaining about that... I love it! His whole little face lights up when I talk to him and he starts smiling and cooing. His favorite things are eating and sleeping, of course, having people talk to him, and watching the ceiling fan. He really is a good little baby but when he does get mad well you better watch out, he has a set of lungs!Thursday, December 18, 2008
Welcome Baby Jack!
This has been such a fun time in our family. There are three new babies and they are all boys! My brother Joel and his wife Melissa, had Derek Brandon on October 14. We haven't seen him in person yet. Then our Hayden Lee, was born October 23. And my sister Annie, had Jack Gerig on November 22. Here are some pictures of Hayden and Jack. It has been so fun to go through the whole pregnant thing together and now our cute little ones are here and that is even funner!

Daddies Girl

Time for a post by daddy-
A few weeks back my little girl climbed out of her crib... we heard her crying in her room but she sounded a lot closer than she normally does. When Jacque went to check on her she was right by the door.... I then put her back to bed.... a few minutes later we hear it... "THUD" This time I go. There she is sitting on the floor in front of her crib- holding her little blanket looking up at me like "whats the big deal?" She is a fearless little girl, and she is my little girl. She loves me and I love her. One of my favorite things in my daily routine is coming home from work and peering through the door. As soon as she sees me she smiles big and runs to me- feet moving much faster than her little body. She sure keeps us busy, and eating at nice restaurants is more frustrating and stressfull than fun and relaxing. She climbs and spills and throws and slurps and gets more stuff on her little face than I thought possible. She also melts me, and makes me so happy. She is growing so fast and is such a good big sister. She always kisses her little brother, (although sometimes it appears to be licking or "eating") and she is so sweet. When he cries she runs to his side and puts her hand on his cheecks and says his name. I love my little girl!
-Daddy
PS Ive since put the last extension on her crib and she is unable to climb out anymore-
