Painter Family Reunion
We went down to Manti July 11-13th for the Painter Family Reunion. This is Marcus's mom's side of the family. It was fun to see everyone especially since we hadn't seen a bunch of them for quite awhile.

On Thursday the 3rd we went up to Logan and watched the fireworks. We met up with most of my family. We had good food and snacks thanks to Annie and Martha. And the fireworks were fun too. Josie loved them. We weren't way close so that probably helped not to scare her. Then on the 4th we went to the ward breakfast at my parents. In the afternoon Josie went swimming with Gracie in her little pool. Annie said Gracie could just go in her clothes since she was going to change her soon anyway. Gracie did not want to go in her clothes though so she resorted to just her underwear. And not long after even they were too much so off they went. She is so funny! Josie and Gracie had a blast though playing together in the pool. A whole bunch of bugs had gotten in the water but it certainly didn't stop them. Then we went to a BBQ with my dad's family. They had some great food! And then we went and watched Brigham's fireworks. Josie was exhausted by the end of them so I put her to bed and then we had our own firework show out in the driveway. It was lots of fun. Marcus had bought a bunch and he insisted that everyone help light them. He knows how much I love the 4th of July so he bought me a huge one to light for the Grand Finale! They turned out to be so beautiful and we had a very good time. Happy 4th of July!!
For my birthday Marcus bought me a beautiful, new camera. I love it!! I promised him I would use it often and would work on the blog a lot so here I go. My birthday was on Sunday so we just had a relaxing day together and in the evening we went on a walk to the school with Josie and Bug. On Monday all of my family came down and we went to the park and had a picnic. It was lots of fun. I have such a great family!!

Josie and Popsicles

So a couple of weeks ago Josie got her first taste of a popsicle and now of course she loves them! The only problem is she doesn't just lick them she takes huge bites of them and makes a mess of everything. It is so funny to watch though. You can see her trying to fit as much as possible into her little mouth. What a silly girl!!

The Gardens at Thanksgiving Point
Friday, the 9th, we met Jacques parents up at thanksgiving point and walked through the gardens there. Josie was so good, end just looked around everything with a content little face. She loves looking around at stuff, she is the same way in the mall. Her favorite part where the waterfalls that they have there. Those Gardens are amazing!
Zupas: Mushroom Soup
I dont know how many of you have been to zupas, but those who have, I'm sure, know how good their soups are. Its one of Jacques favorite places to eat these days. Very yummy- so we decided to go the other day. I waited at the table with Josie while my wife and her sister went and ordered food. They brought me back a large bowl of mushroom soup: King of all the soups at zupas ( in my opinion ;) ) I still had Josie on my lap, so I made sure to keep her a ways away from the table because lately she loves grabbing things and knocking things around with her flailing little arms. I saw her reaching for the soup and kept her back. After a little chit chat, I wanted to eat some soup, so I leaned in closer to not spill any.... but with me leaning, Josie became within reaching distance of the large bowl, and with a quick swipe, flipped the bowl spinning in the air, landing face down in my lap. Josie's whole fist covered, as well as my lap, she wore a large smile on her mischievous little face. She quickly started to suck up the soup off her hand, as content as ever, because she of course got what she wanted. I tried to bite my tongue and not spatter off obscenities as the soup was now all over me, seeping into the fabric of my pants, turning them an ugly olive green color ( Not to mention this stuff was pretty HOT!) Jacque and Martha just sat and laughed.... until they saw me. I guess I had the look of frustration, not to mention I felt like an ape. Nobody likes causing a scene in a public place, not to mention zupas seams to always be crowded. I could tell the lady at the table next to use was holding back a chuckle. I myself found it funny. It was funny- it was hilarious, especially how she was acting afterwards, with her fist and face covered in the soup, her making slurping noises, licking the soup up as if it was a dripping Popsicle, as happy as ever. I handed her off, and whipped up as much of the mess as I possibly could. A nice lady came over and mopped up the floor, and I tried to be patient while Jacque and Martha finished eating. I of course, lost my food, and appetite in the whole event. The whole drive home was filled with the overwhelming aroma of mushrooms. It was freezing cold outside, but I insisted we have the windows cracked open. I love my little girl, and she sure makes our lives more interesting. This was a lesson learned the hard way, and it always makes me smile to remember.
